Everything you need to know about playing, earning, and competing on ProfitChess.
Head-to-head skill gaming
Challenge opponents in real-time chess matches with entry fees from 1 to 20 PCP. Both players put in the same amount. The winner takes 91% of the total pot — the remaining 9% goes to the platform to fund prize pools, anti-cheat infrastructure, and operations.
Multi-player bracket competition
Tournaments are bracket-style competitions with 4 to 8 players. Join a lobby, wait for it to fill up, and compete round by round. Prize pools are distributed among the top finishers based on the tournament size.
Secure financial transactions
PCP (ProfitChess Points) is the platform currency. 1 PCP = $1 USD. Buy PCP via Stripe (credit/debit card). Withdraw to your linked PayPal account or bank account (participating countries). Email verification is required before any financial transaction.
Monthly competitive cycles
ProfitChess runs monthly competitive seasons. Every paid game earns Season Cups, which determine your position in the global season leaderboard. At the end of each season, the top players receive cash prizes and exclusive emblems.
Improve your game
Master chess with 10 progressive lessons covering openings, tactics, endgames, and strategy. After each lesson, reinforce what you learned by challenging AI opponents of increasing difficulty — from beginner to grandmaster level.
Fair play guaranteed
ProfitChess uses move-timing analysis to detect engine use. Suspicious patterns are flagged and reviewed. Confirmed cheaters are permanently banned, and affected opponents may receive refunds from our Anti-Cheat Fund.
Is ProfitChess legal?
Yes. ProfitChess is a skill-based gaming platform — the outcome is determined by chess ability, not chance. Skill-based gaming is legal in most US states and internationally. Some US states restrict it (AZ, AR, CT, IN, IA, LA, MD, MT, SC, SD, TN) — users from those regions are blocked automatically.
How do I get paid?
Winnings are added to your PCP balance instantly after each game. To withdraw, link your PayPal account in Settings and request a withdrawal. There's a 24-48 hour security hold on first withdrawals, then same-day processing after that.
What is PCP?
PCP stands for ProfitChess Points. 1 PCP = 1 USD. It's the platform's internal currency used for entry fees, prizes, and withdrawals. You can deposit via Stripe (credit/debit card) and withdraw to PayPal or your bank account (participating countries) at any time.
What happens if I disconnect during a game?
Your clock keeps running. If you reconnect quickly, you can continue the game. If you're inactive for more than 12 minutes without making a move, the game is automatically ended and both players receive a refund if it was a paid game.
What if I suspect my opponent is using an engine?
Our system detects engine-like patterns automatically. If you believe a game was unfair after the fact, you can submit an appeal through Settings → Support. Our anti-cheat team reviews flagged games manually.
Are there fees?
Yes — 9% of each paid game's pot goes to the platform (funds anti-cheat, prize pools, and operations). Withdrawals incur a small processing fee depending on your withdrawal method (PayPal or bank transfer). Free mode games have no fees.
